You may have noticed from recent posts that progress has been rather top heavy. After demolishing the rear of the house and re-building the space in to a better and bigger area, it’s been left as it is whilst the loft and first floor get wired and plumbed up. We’ve also been waiting for the roof windows to arrive so that the roof can be finished and the kitchen is water tight.
So we were delighted when we saw these go in this week!!
We now have 4 great sized Velux windows across our side return section of the kitchen extension. You can also see how big the other windows will be from the frames sections at the back of the picture:
There are 3 at the same profile as the rear extension and one raised up near the side of the reception room.
We are pleased with the way this has worked out. There is now much more head height in that area and the window from the reception won’t look weird from the other side.
So our dark cavernous kitchen is finally seeing some light and we are getting really excited about this space now!!
